WELCOME TO A NEW MONTH: DEALING WITH THE LITTLE FOXES

Welcome to the beautiful month of September !

We give all glory, honour and thanksgiving to God for bringing us safely through the precious month that has ended. We may have faced battles, disappointments, delays, unanswered questions, unexpected challenges and difficult moments, but God remained faithful.

What the enemy intended for evil, God turned around for our good. What we could not accomplish, God gave us grace to survive. What could have destroyed us did not destroy us because the mercy of God preserved us.

Father, thank You for the month that has ended! Thank You for life. Thank You for preservation. Thank You for provision. Thank You for protection. Thank You for answered prayers and even for prayers whose answers are still unfolding. Thank You for the victories we saw and the battles You fought for us that we never knew existed.

Now, Lord, we step into September with expectation, wisdom and renewed spiritual sensitivity.

This month, our attention is drawn to something that is often overlooked: the little foxes.

The Scripture does not simply say, “Take us the foxes.” It specifically says, “the little foxes.”

Why?

Because some things that destroy great destinies do not initially look dangerous.

A little compromise may appear harmless.

A little dishonesty may appear convenient.

A little bitterness may seem justified.

A little laziness may seem insignificant.

A little prayerlessness may not immediately produce consequences.

A little anger may seem normal.

A little gossip may appear like ordinary conversation.

A little disobedience may seem too small to matter.

A little wrong association may appear innocent.

A little distraction may consume only a few minutes.

But little things, when tolerated repeatedly, can become powerful forces.

The danger of a little fox is not necessarily its size; it is what it can spoil.

A small hole in a roof can eventually damage an entire building. A small crack in a foundation can become a structural disaster. A tiny leak in a vessel can eventually sink it.

In the same way, small weaknesses left unattended can eventually produce major consequences.

Perhaps there is something in your life that God has been drawing your attention to.

It may be an attitude.

It may be a habit.

It may be a relationship.

It may be an addiction to distraction.

It may be procrastination.

It may be an uncontrolled appetite.

It may be unforgiveness.

It may be pride.

It may be the inability to control your tongue.

It may be spiritual laziness.

It may be wasting valuable time.

It may be continually postponing what you know God has asked you to do.

Whatever it is, September is a month to deal with it.

Do not wait until the little fox becomes a big problem.

Do not wait until your marriage is damaged before addressing communication problems.

Do not wait until your finances collapse before addressing financial indiscipline.

Do not wait until your spiritual life becomes cold before dealing with prayerlessness.

Do not wait until a relationship destroys your peace before establishing boundaries.

Do not wait until an attitude damages your reputation before correcting it.

Deal with the little fox while it is still little.

God has planted a vine in your life.

There is fruitfulness in you.

There are gifts in you.

There are dreams in you.

There is an assignment in you.

There are relationships to preserve, lives to impact, people to help, books to write, businesses to build, ministries to fulfil and generations to influence.

Therefore, protect your vine!

This month, we will not merely pray for God to remove big problems. We will ask Him to expose the small things that could eventually become big problems.

We will examine ourselves.

We will correct what needs correction.

We will repent where repentance is required.

We will establish healthy boundaries.

We will remove destructive habits.

We will guard our hearts.

We will discipline our minds.

We will protect our attention.

We will watch our relationships.

We will strengthen our spiritual lives.

September shall be a month of divine exposure, spiritual cleansing, wisdom, discipline and restoration of fruitfulness.

May God open our eyes to every little fox hiding around our vines.

*THANK GOD AS YOU ARE LED:*

*I DECREE and DECLARE:*

*🙏OPENING PRAYER:*
My Dear Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus,

I come before You with a heart full of thanksgiving.

Thank You for bringing me safely to the beginning of another month. Thank You for the month that has ended. Thank You for every victory, every provision, every protection, every deliverance, every answered prayer and every unseen battle You fought on my behalf.

Lord, I acknowledge that it was not by my power or ability that I made it this far. It was Your mercy!

Thank You for preserving my life.

Thank You for preserving my family.

Thank You for preserving my destiny.

Thank You for preserving everything You have committed into my hands.

As I enter September, I surrender this month completely to You.

Let September be a month of divine wisdom, spiritual sensitivity, correction, restoration, fruitfulness and advancement.

According to Your Word in Song of Solomon 2:15, help me to identify every little fox that is attempting to spoil my vine.

Open my eyes to what I have overlooked.

Give me courage to confront what I have tolerated.

Give me grace to remove what I have permitted.

Give me wisdom to establish boundaries where boundaries are necessary.

Father, let nothing small become strong enough to destroy what You have built in my life.

Let every hidden weakness be exposed.

Let every destructive pattern be broken.

Let every wrong attitude be corrected.

Let every ungodly influence be removed.

Let every distraction that is stealing my attention be brought under control.

And let my life produce abundant fruit for Your glory.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

*Life Applications Personal Prayers:*

🔥 PRAYING SCRIPTURES 1

*LORD, EXPOSE EVERY LITTLE FOX*

📖 Scripture

Psalm 139:23–24 (KJV)

> “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

*💡Life Application;*

One of the greatest forms of wisdom is the willingness to examine yourself.

It is easy to identify the weaknesses of other people while remaining blind to our own.

But spiritual maturity requires us to pray:

“Lord, show me me.”

Ask God to reveal the things you may have normalized.

What have you been calling your personality that God may be calling an attitude?

What have you been calling a habit that God may be calling a weakness?

What have you been calling enjoyment that God may be calling distraction?

What have you been calling friendship that may actually be unhealthy influence?

What have you been calling “just the way I am” that God wants you to change?

The prayer of David was not merely, “Lord, bless me.”

He said:

“Search me.”

This September, allow God to search you.

Because what God exposes, He can help you correct.

*🙏 PERSONAL PRAYER*

Father, in the name of Jesus, search me thoroughly.

Search my heart.

Search my thoughts.

Search my motives.

Search my attitudes.

Search my habits.

Search my relationships.

Search my priorities.

Search my words.

Search my private life.

Search every area of my life that I have neglected.

Holy Spirit, reveal every little fox that has entered my vineyard.

Expose every compromise I have justified.

Expose every habit I have tolerated.

Expose every attitude that is damaging my relationships.

Expose every distraction that is stealing my time.

Expose every relationship that is weakening my spiritual life.

Expose every thought pattern that is contrary to Your Word.

Expose every hidden weakness before it becomes a public disaster.

Lord, give me the humility to accept Your correction.

Give me courage to change.

Give me discipline to remain changed.

Give me wisdom to know what must leave my life and what must remain.

I refuse to protect what You are asking me to remove.

I refuse to defend what is destroying my fruitfulness.

I refuse to call good what Your Word calls harmful.

Every little fox hiding around my vineyard, be exposed!

Every hidden weakness is coming into the light.

Every destructive pattern is losing its grip.

Every compromise is broken.

Every ungodly influence is terminated.

My eyes are open.

My heart is receptive.

My spirit is sensitive.

I shall not be deceived by the smallness of a problem.

I shall deal with it before it becomes a stronghold.

Lord, lead me in the way everlasting and make my life fruitful for Your glory.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

🔥 PRAYING SCRIPTURES 2

*LORD, GIVE ME GRACE TO DEAL WITH THE LITTLE FOXES*

📖 Scripture

Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)

> “Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us…”

*💡 Life Application:*

Not everything that slows you down is necessarily a major sin.

Some things are simply weights.

A weight may be something that consumes your time, weakens your focus, drains your spiritual energy, interferes with your assignment or prevents you from moving at the speed God desires.

There are things you must not merely pray about—you must lay them aside.

You cannot keep asking God to remove something you have decided to continue feeding.

Sometimes the answer to prayer is a divine instruction:

“Let it go.”

Let go of the habit.

Let go of the bitterness.

Let go of the unnecessary argument.

Let go of the unhealthy association.

Let go of the distraction.

Let go of the procrastination.

Let go of the excuses.

Let go of whatever continually pulls you away from God’s purpose.

This month, do not merely identify the little foxes.

Deal with them!

*🙏 PERSONAL PRAYER:*

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, give me the grace and discipline to lay aside every weight that is slowing down my progress.

I receive strength to let go of everything that is not helping me become the person You have called me to be.

I lay aside every destructive habit.

I lay aside procrastination.

I lay aside spiritual laziness.

I lay aside unnecessary distractions.

I lay aside bitterness.

I lay aside unforgiveness.

I lay aside pride.

I lay aside uncontrolled anger.

I lay aside unhealthy relationships.

I lay aside negative thinking.

I lay aside every form of compromise.

I lay aside every habit that consumes my time without producing value.

I lay aside every weight that is competing with my assignment.

Lord, give me the discipline to say NO when I need to say no.

Give me the courage to walk away when I need to walk away.

Give me wisdom to establish boundaries.

Give me strength to break unhealthy patterns.

Give me grace to choose long-term destiny over short-term pleasure.

I declare that no little fox will spoil my vine!

My prayer life shall flourish.

My faith shall flourish.

My family shall flourish.

My relationships shall flourish.

My work shall flourish.

My gifts shall flourish.

My calling shall flourish.

My finances shall flourish.

My purpose shall flourish.

My life shall produce fruit that will remain.

I receive grace to protect what God has planted in me.

I will not destroy tomorrow by tolerating what I should correct today.

I am disciplined.
I am focused.
I am spiritually alert.
I am fruitful.
I am growing.
I am moving forward.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

*🧭COUNSELING INSIGHT:*

DON’T WAIT FOR A LITTLE FOX TO BECOME A BIG PROBLEM

Many people seek counseling only after a small issue has become a major crisis.

But wisdom teaches us to intervene early.

Small problems are easier to correct before they become established patterns.

If you notice a destructive habit, confront it.

If you notice a communication problem, address it.

If you notice a wrong association, establish boundaries.

If you notice financial indiscipline, correct it.

If you notice spiritual weakness, return to spiritual discipline.

If you notice anger becoming uncontrollable, seek help and learn new responses.

If you notice yourself constantly procrastinating, change your structure and accountability.

Do not be ashamed to seek counsel when you need it.

There is no shame in correcting a problem early. The shame is allowing preventable damage to continue because of pride.

Remember:

> What you ignore today may become what controls you tomorrow.

This month, don’t just pray for God to bless your vineyard.

Protect the vineyard.

*🙏CLOSING PRAYER:*
Heavenly Father,

Thank You for speaking to me through Your Word.

Thank You for bringing me into this new month.

As I journey through September, make me spiritually sensitive and intellectually discerning.

Help me to see what I have not seen.

Help me to hear what I have not heard.

Help me to recognize every little fox before it causes damage.

Where I need correction, correct me.

Where I need discipline, strengthen me.

Where I need repentance, give me grace to repent.

Where I need boundaries, give me courage to establish them.

Where I need to let go, give me strength to release it.

Father, preserve the vine of my life.

Preserve my faith.

Preserve my family.

Preserve my calling.

Preserve my health and strength.

Preserve my relationships.

Preserve my work.

Preserve my dreams.

Preserve my divine assignment.

No little fox shall spoil my vine!

Every hidden enemy of my fruitfulness is exposed.

Every destructive habit is broken.

Every wrong association is brought under divine order.

Every distraction is terminated.

Every compromise is uprooted.

Every spiritual weakness receives strength.

Every area of my life that has been unfruitful begins to flourish again.

September shall be a month of correction, restoration, fruitfulness and greater glory!

I will not repeat the mistakes that almost destroyed me.

I will not tolerate what God has instructed me to remove.

I will not allow small things to destroy great things.

My vine shall flourish.
My life shall bear fruit.
My destiny shall speak.
My purpose shall be fulfilled.
And my life shall bring glory to God.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
