Month of _DEALING WITH LITTLE FOXES_
Theme: *_🦊 THE LITTLE FOX OF UNCONTROLLED WORDS_*
*📖 Scripture Focus:* Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…”
*🪞 REFLECTION:*
Words may be small, but their consequences can be enormous. A single sentence can encourage a discouraged heart, restore a broken relationship, strengthen someone’s faith—or create a wound that remains painful for years.
The little fox of uncontrolled words does not always appear as obvious abuse or deliberate insults. Sometimes it hides in constant complaining, sarcasm, gossip, exaggeration, angry responses, unnecessary arguments, harsh corrections, negative confessions, speaking when silence would have been wiser, or revealing information that should have remained confidential.
Many people destroy with their mouths what they have spent years building with their hands. Trust can take years to establish but only seconds to damage. A careless statement spoken in anger can become a permanent memory in someone’s heart.
Wisdom teaches us to pause before speaking. Not every thought deserves a voice. Not every provocation requires a response. Not every accusation deserves an explanation. Sometimes spiritual maturity is demonstrated by knowing when to speak, what to say, how to say it, and when to remain silent.
Before you speak, ask yourself:
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it helpful? Is it loving? Is this the right time?
God wants your tongue to become an instrument of grace rather than destruction, healing rather than wounding, reconciliation rather than division, and life rather than death.
Today, surrender your mouth to God. Let Him govern your emotions, filter your thoughts and sanctify your speech. Kill the little fox before uncontrolled words destroy something precious.

*THANK GOD AS YOU ARE LED:*

*I DECREE and DECLARE:*
*🙏OPENING PRAYER:*
My Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You with humility.
Search my heart and examine my words. Expose every little fox hiding within my speech—every careless word, angry response, negative confession, gossip, criticism, sarcasm, exaggeration and destructive statement.
Lord, forgive me for every time my words have wounded someone, damaged trust, created confusion or dishonoured You.
Holy Spirit, take control of my tongue. Teach me to pause before I speak and to listen before I respond. Give me wisdom to know when to speak and when to remain silent.
Let my mouth become an altar from which words of faith, wisdom, grace, healing and life proceed.
In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

🔥 PRAYING SCRIPTURES 1
*LORD, SET A WATCH OVER MY MOUTH*
📖 Psalm 141:3
“Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.”
*🛐 Personal Prayer:*
Father, I ask You to set a divine watch over my mouth.
I surrender my tongue to You. I surrender my reactions, emotions, opinions and conversations to Your authority. Let no uncontrolled word escape from my lips.
Deliver me from speaking out of anger, frustration, pride, impatience or emotional pain.
When I am provoked, give me self-control.
When I am offended, give me grace.
When I am angry, give me restraint.
When I am tempted to retaliate, give me wisdom.
When silence is better than speaking, give me the discipline to remain silent.
Lord, uproot from me the desire to always have the last word.
Deliver me from gossiping about people I should be praying for. Deliver me from exposing people’s weaknesses to others. Deliver me from spreading information I have not verified. Deliver me from words that make me appear wise while making another person feel small.
Put a guard over my lips when I am angry.
May I never use temporary emotions to speak permanent words that I will later regret.
Holy Spirit, teach me to think before I speak, pray before I react, and love before I respond.
Let my words carry the fragrance of Christ.
From today, my mouth will not become a weapon against my family, marriage, friendships, colleagues, ministry or destiny.
My tongue is surrendered to God.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
*🔥 Declaration:*
My mouth is under the government of the Holy Spirit. I will not destroy with my tongue what God has helped me build with my hands. My words shall carry wisdom, grace, healing and life!

🔥 PRAYING SCRIPTURES 2
*LORD, MAKE MY WORDS A SOURCE OF LIFE*
📖 Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…”
*🛐 Personal Prayer:*
Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to use my words wisely.
I repent of every pattern of negative speech that has become habitual in my life. Break the power of careless words, destructive words and words spoken without consideration.
Lord, cleanse my vocabulary.
Where I have spoken death, teach me to speak life.
Where I have spoken fear, teach me to speak faith.
Where I have spoken discouragement, teach me to speak hope.
Where I have spoken condemnation, teach me to speak restoration.
Where I have spoken division, make me an instrument of peace.
Let my words strengthen the weak, encourage the discouraged, comfort the brokenhearted and restore those who have lost hope.
Give me wisdom in my marriage, family, friendships, workplace and ministry.
Let me never use someone’s vulnerability as ammunition during an argument.
Teach me not to weaponize people’s past mistakes against them.
When correction is necessary, let me correct with love. When truth must be spoken, give me courage without cruelty. When confrontation is necessary, give me wisdom without hatred.
Father, let the words I speak over myself also agree with Your Word.
I reject every negative confession concerning my future.
I will not continually declare failure over myself.
I will not curse my tomorrow because of today’s struggle.
I will not speak hopelessness over what You are still working on.
My tongue will agree with God’s promises.
I choose life. I choose wisdom. I choose grace. I choose healing. I choose words that build.
From today, may people encounter encouragement when they encounter me.
May my conversations bring peace rather than confusion.
May my words become instruments in God’s hands.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
*🔥 Declaration:*
I speak life! My words will not destroy my relationships, opportunities or destiny. My tongue is an instrument of grace, wisdom, healing and faith. I will speak what builds, what blesses and what gives life!

*🧠 COUNSELING INSIGHT:*
Uncontrolled speech is often an emotional problem before it becomes a communication problem.
When people speak impulsively, they frequently allow anger, insecurity, pride, hurt or frustration to speak through them.
Therefore, don’t only ask, “What did I say?” Ask, “What was happening inside me when I said it?”
Before responding when emotionally charged, practice the PAUSE principle:
P — Pause. Don’t answer immediately.
A — Assess. What am I feeling?
U — Understand. What is really happening?
S — Seek wisdom. What response will produce peace and truth?
E — Express carefully. Say what is necessary with grace.
Remember:
You don’t have to win every argument.
You don’t have to answer every provocation.
You don’t have to explain yourself to everyone.
You don’t have to say everything you know.
Sometimes the most powerful evidence of maturity is controlled speech.
Before your words leave your mouth, ask:
> “Will these words heal or hurt? Build or break? Restore or destroy?”
If they will destroy, let the little fox die at the door of your lips.
—
*🙏CLOSING PRAYER:*
Father, thank You for speaking to me today.
I surrender my tongue completely to You. Let the fire of the Holy Spirit purify my speech and remove every little fox of uncontrolled words.
From this day forward, give me disciplined lips and a wise heart.
When I need to speak, give me the right words.
When I need to be silent, give me the grace to remain silent.
When I need to correct, let me correct in love.
When I need to forgive, let my words release grace.
When I need to encourage, make my words carry strength.
Heal every relationship that has been damaged by careless words. Restore trust where possible and give me wisdom to rebuild what my words have broken.
Let my home hear words of peace.
Let my children hear words of encouragement.
Let my friends experience grace through me.
Let my ministry produce words that edify.
Let my life become a testimony of Christ-controlled speech.
I declare that death will not rule my tongue. Anger will not control my mouth. Pride will not govern my speech. The Holy Spirit
will have the final authority over my words.
My mouth will speak life.
My words will build.
My tongue will bless.
My conversations will carry grace.
And my life shall glorify God.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen! 🔥
