My Dear Friend,
💬 DON’T COMPETE—CONNECT AND GROW
Listen carefully: when you meet someone who seems better than you in skill, grace, or achievement, resist the urge to compete. Don’t let pride make you blind to opportunity. Instead, choose to learn, serve, and collaborate.
Competition in such a situation often breeds bitterness and insecurity, but connection births growth, wisdom, and elevation. God may have brought that person into your life not to overshadow you, but to sharpen you. Sometimes the person who appears “greater” is actually a divine ladder meant to lift you higher.
Don’t allow jealousy to close your heart to what you could learn. The wise don’t compete with light—they draw near to it so they can shine brighter too. Remember, David served Saul before he became king, Elisha followed Elijah before he became a prophet, and Joshua learned under Moses before leading Israel. None of them lost destiny by serving someone greater; they were being prepared for their own time.
So, if you’ve found someone better than you, celebrate them. Observe their discipline, learn their ways, honor their wisdom, and offer your support. The one who walks with the wise becomes wise. Your greatness will not diminish because you learned from another—it will expand.
Be humble enough to work with grace, not against it. What you honor, you attract. What you serve, you eventually become
