THE NEW MONTH OF PASSOVER (Last Month of the Year)
Exodus 12:2
This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. (NKJV)
BRIEF BACKGROUND EXPLANATION
While this verse designates the Passover month (Abib/Nisan) as the first month of the religious calendar, it also emphasizes the act of transition, renewal, and divine timing. Passover is a time to reflect on God’s deliverance and anticipate new beginnings, which aligns with the themes of closing one season and preparing for the next. This verse symbolically represents how God uses pivotal moments like Passover to reset and realign His people for the next phase of their journey.
These prayers provide a comprehensive approach to the themes of gratitude, divine completion, and preparation for new beginnings, emphasizing the transformational power of the Passover season.
THANK HIM AS YOU ARE LED
I DECREE and DECLARE
My Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart of gratitude and expectation in this sacred month of Passover. Thank You for Your faithfulness throughout the year and for the opportunity to seek You at this season of transition. As I pray for freedom, divine completion, and fresh beginnings, I invite Your presence to guide my words, align my heart with Your Will, and bring forth Your promises in my life. Let these prayers ascend to You as a sweet aroma, and may Your power be made manifest in every area of my life.
In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
1) Prayer of Gratitude and Reflection
Scripture Basis: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” – Psalm 103:2
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I approach Your throne with a heart overflowing with gratitude as I step into this sacred month of Passover, the last month of the year. I thank You for every blessing, every victory, and even the trials that have shaped me into who I am today. You have been my rock and my fortress, my guide through the storms and my song in the seasons of joy. Lord, I pause to reflect on how far You have brought me and to acknowledge that without You, I would not have made it.
Thank You for the gift of life, health, and strength, for provision in times of need, and for being my ever-present help in trouble. I release every worry about what lies ahead, knowing that the same God who carried me through the previous months will complete what He has started in my life. As I walk through this month, help me to see Your hand in all things and to end the year in praise and thanksgiving. May this month be a time of divine reflection, renewal, and preparation for greater things ahead.
In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
2) Prayer for Divine Completion and Fulfillment
Scripture Basis: “Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” – Ecclesiastes 7:8
Prayer:
Lord God Almighty, the One who declares the end from the beginning, I exalt You for being faithful to complete every good work You have started in my life. As this month marks the end of the year, I pray for the grace to finish strong in every area where You have called me to labour. Lord, I commit every unfinished task, every delayed dream, and every unresolved situation into Your capable hands. I ask for supernatural strength and wisdom to bring them to completion.
Father, I rebuke every spirit of discouragement, procrastination, or distraction that may hinder me from fulfilling my divine assignments. Let this be a month of breakthrough, where long-awaited answers to prayers are released. Let every promise You have spoken over my life be fulfilled without delay. I pray that as this year draws to a close, my testimony will be complete, and my life will reflect Your glory. May I enter the new year without carrying over any burdens or failures, fully equipped to embrace the new season.
In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
3) Prayer for Fresh Beginnings and Transformation
Scripture Basis: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?” – Isaiah 43:19
Prayer:
Father of new beginnings, I thank You for this month of Passover, a season that symbolizes transition, redemption, and new life. Just as You led the children of Israel out of Egypt into a new chapter of freedom and destiny, I ask that You guide me into a fresh season of purpose and transformation. Lord, I surrender my past to You—every pain, regret, and disappointment—and I open my heart to receive the new things You are doing in my life.
I declare that the old is gone and the new has come. Let this be a month of spiritual awakening where I experience deeper intimacy with You and clarity in my walk with Christ. Transform my thoughts, renew my mind, and align my desires with Your Will. Father, open doors that no man can shut and close doors that no longer serve Your purpose for my life. I pray that this Passover season will mark the beginning of a new dimension of favour, growth, and fruitfulness. Let me step into the new year fully empowered, knowing that You are with me every step of the way.
In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
In Closing:
Gracious Lord, I thank You for the privilege of coming before You in prayer during this Passover season. I trust that You have heard my petitions and will answer them according to Your perfect Will. As I step into the days ahead, may Your presence go before me, guiding and strengthening me. I declare that this month will be filled with Your peace, breakthroughs, and divine transformation. Thank You for being my Redeemer, my Sustainer, and my Hope. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
I cover all my prayers and my declarations and my decrees and my commands and my supplications and my petitions and my confessions and my thanksgiving by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ for absolute performance.
TODAY’S PROPHECY
Thus Saith the Lord,
*1) “My beloved child, hear My voice and understand that the Word I speak to you is not just for you to hear and forget, but for you to live out in your everyday life. Do not be deceived by merely listening to the sermon without allowing it to transform you. MY Word is meant to guide your actions, decisions, and relationships every day, not just on Sundays. Though the world may try to distract you with its pressures and temptations, I have empowered you to live according to MY teachings. Choose to reflect MY love in how you speak, act, forgive, and serve others. Your life is a testimony of MY grace, and when you live by MY Word, others will see ME in you. Be a light to the world, showing them MY love through your good deeds. Take what you hear and make it flesh in your life, trusting that I AM with you and will give you the strength to live it out.”*
