Month Of _Dealing With Little Foxes_
Theme: *_THE LITTLE FOX OF OFFENCE_*
*π SCRIPTURE FOCUS:*
βThe discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.β
β Proverbs 19:11 KJV
*πͺ REFLECTION:*
Offence is one of the little foxes that can quietly enter the heart and destroy what took years to build.
Sometimes the offence is obvious. Someone lied about you, betrayed your trust, insulted you, rejected you, spoke harshly to you, or treated you unfairly. At other times, the offence is smallβa careless statement, an unanswered message, a misunderstanding, an overlooked contribution, or something someone did without realizing how deeply it affected you.
The danger is not always in what happened. The danger is in what you allow to remain in your heart after it happened.
Not every offence deserves a permanent place in your heart.
Some people are carrying yesterday’s offence into today’s relationships. They have forgiven with their lips but continue to rehearse the incident in their minds. Every time they remember what happened, the anger returns. They interpret new situations through the pain of an old wound. As a result, one offence becomes a lens through which they see everybody.
That is how a little fox becomes destructive.
Proverbs 19:11 teaches us that discretion can defer anger, while spiritual maturity gives us the ability to pass over a transgression. This does not mean pretending that wrong is right. It does not mean permitting abuse, tolerating injustice, or refusing to establish healthy boundaries.
It means knowing when an offence should be confronted, when it should be corrected, when it should be forgiven, and when it should simply be released.
Wisdom knows the difference between a battle that requires confrontation and an offence that requires maturity.
You do not have to respond to every provocation.
You do not have to explain yourself to everybody.
You do not have to win every argument.
You do not have to punish everybody who disappointed you.
Sometimes your greatest victory is your ability to walk away without carrying the offender with you in your heart.
Protect your peace.
Guard your heart.
Do not allow somebody else’s behaviour to become the permanent landlord of your emotions.
Ask yourself: βIs this offence worth the peace I am losing over it?β
If the answer is no, release it.
If a conversation is necessary, have it with wisdom.
If a boundary is necessary, establish it with love.
If forgiveness is necessary, give it freely.
And if the matter is too deep for you to process alone, seek godly counsel rather than allowing the wound to become bitterness.
The enemy wants the little fox of offence to grow into bitterness, resentment, hatred, retaliation and broken relationships. But the grace of God can uproot it before it destroys your peace and your destiny.

*I DECREE and DECLARE:*
*πOPENING PRAYER:*
My Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You with an open and honest heart.
Search me and reveal every hidden offence, resentment, anger and bitterness that has taken root within me.
Lord, I surrender every painful experience, every disappointment, every misunderstanding and every offence that I have carried for too long.
Give me the wisdom to know what to confront, what to correct, what to forgive and what to overlook.
Deliver me from emotional reactions that create unnecessary battles.
Give me grace not to become bitter because somebody treated me badly.
Heal every wound that I have hidden behind a smile.
Holy Spirit, teach me to respond rather than react, to forgive rather than retaliate, and to walk in wisdom rather than anger.
Today, I refuse to allow the little fox of offence to destroy my peace, relationships, spiritual life or destiny.
Let the love of Christ rule in my heart.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

π₯ PRAYING SCRIPTURES 1
*FATHER, DELIVER ME FROM THE SPIRIT OF OFFENCE AND BITTERNESS*
π Ephesians 4:31β32 KJV
> βLet all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.β
*π PRAYER:*
Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring every offence that has wounded my heart before You.
I refuse to continue carrying bitterness, resentment, anger, hatred or malice.
Every offence that has become a burden in my heart, Lord, take it away!
Every painful memory that keeps reopening an old wound, let Your healing power touch me.
Every voice in my mind that keeps replaying what somebody did against me, I silence it by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Father, give me the grace to forgive as Christ has forgiven me.
Deliver me from secretly wishing evil upon those who have hurt me.
Deliver me from the desire to retaliate.
Deliver me from keeping records of wrongs.
Deliver me from using past offences as weapons against people in present relationships.
Where I have been genuinely wronged, give me wisdom to respond appropriately without allowing the wrong to poison my heart.
Where I have misunderstood someone’s actions, give me clarity.
Where I have been too sensitive, give me maturity.
Where I have been wounded, give me healing.
Where I have offended others, give me humility to acknowledge it and make things right.
Father, let love replace bitterness.
Let peace replace anger.
Let wisdom replace impulsive reactions.
Let forgiveness replace resentment.
Let healing replace emotional pain.
I declare that offence will not become bitterness in my heart.
I will not allow yesterday’s pain to destroy today’s relationships.
I will not allow somebody else’s mistake to control my emotions.
I will not become what hurt me.
By the grace of God, my heart remains clean, tender and free.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

π₯ PRAYING SCRIPTURES 2
*LORD, GIVE ME WISDOM TO KNOW WHEN TO SPEAK AND WHEN TO OVERLOOK*
π Proverbs 19:11 KJV
> βThe discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.β
*π PRAYER:*
Father, give me divine discretion.
Teach me when to speak and when to remain silent.
Teach me when to confront and when to overlook.
Teach me when to establish a boundary and when to simply extend grace.
I refuse to make every disagreement a battle.
I refuse to turn every misunderstanding into a war.
I refuse to destroy valuable relationships because of temporary emotions.
Father, deliver me from the need to always prove that I am right.
Give me the wisdom to recognize that sometimes peace is more valuable than winning an argument.
When somebody provokes me, give me self-control.
When somebody misunderstands me, give me patience.
When somebody speaks against me, give me wisdom.
When somebody disappoints me, give me grace.
When somebody refuses to apologize, help me to release the matter into Your hands.
Give me the strength to walk away from unnecessary conflict without feeling defeated.
Father, preserve my relationships from the destructive power of unresolved offence.
Let me not punish innocent people for the sins of those who hurt me in the past.
Let me not transfer yesterday’s pain into today’s relationships.
Let me not reject good people because bad people wounded me.
Heal my emotional responses.
Heal my trust.
Heal my perspective.
Heal my communication.
And give me the wisdom to handle difficult people without becoming a difficult person myself.
I receive the grace to overlook minor offences.
I receive the grace to forgive genuine wrongs.
I receive the wisdom to address serious matters appropriately.
I receive the discipline to control my tongue when anger rises.
I receive the peace that comes from committing every injustice into Your hands.
The little fox of offence will not destroy my relationships.
It will not destroy my marriage.
It will not destroy my friendships.
It will not destroy my ministry.
It will not destroy my peace.
It will not destroy my destiny.
I choose wisdom.
I choose forgiveness.
I choose peace.
I choose love.
I choose freedom.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

*π§ COUNSELING INSIGHT:*
Offence becomes dangerous when you continue feeding it after the incident is over.
The person who offended you may have moved on, but if you continue rehearsing the offence, you remain emotionally connected to the event.
Forgiveness is not saying, βWhat happened was acceptable.β
Forgiveness says, βWhat happened will no longer control my heart.β
There are times when confrontation is necessary. There are times when boundaries are necessary. There are times when distance is necessary. But even when you establish a boundary, you do not have to carry bitterness across that boundary.
Do not confuse forgiveness with reconciliation. Forgiveness can be immediate; rebuilding trust may take time. You can forgive someone while still requiring accountability and wisdom in the relationship.
And remember this:
You cannot control what people do to you, but by God’s grace, you can control what you allow their actions to produce inside you.
Don’t let a little fox become a lifelong prison.
Protect your heart. Choose wisdom. Forgive freely. Walk in peace.
