*🔎 REFLECTION*
Fresh oil is a divine necessity, not a luxury. It represents the constant renewal of God’s Spirit that sustains believers in their journey of life and faith. Without fresh oil, a man may still carry the name “believer” yet lack the power, freshness, and vibrancy to make impact. The psalmist reminds us that his horn—symbolizing authority, dignity, and inner strength—was exalted only when fresh oil was poured upon him. This means victory, relevance, and fruitfulness are sustained not by human effort but by divine empowerment.
Fresh oil brings renewal. It takes away weariness, restores zeal, and positions us for daily triumphs. It empowers us to rise above pressures and shine when others are dimmed. It is the oil that sharpens our discernment, fuels our prayer life, and strengthens our spiritual stamina. Without it, we risk becoming stale, irrelevant, and spiritually dry.
Fresh oil also preserves fruitfulness. Just as oil keeps a lamp burning brightly, the fresh anointing ensures that our lives remain productive, luminous, and impactful in every season. It keeps us relevant, ensuring that what God has deposited in us does not fade but grows from glory to glory.
Finally, fresh oil protects and distinguishes. It is a spiritual seal that shields us from the attacks of the enemy and marks us as untouchable for destruction. It positions us for favor, preserves us in times of crisis, and sets us apart for divine assignments. Therefore, in this month of Fresh Power, our cry must be: “Lord, anoint me daily with fresh oil.”
