My Advice to You: NOT EVERY BATTLE WON IS VICTORY

Don’t measure your life only by the battles you seem to win or lose. Some things that look like victories in the eyes of people are not victories in the sight of God—especially if they rob you of peace, integrity, or relationships that matter. Be careful not to celebrate an “empty win.”

At the same time, don’t see every setback as failure. What looks like a defeat may actually be God redirecting you, protecting you, or preparing you for something greater. Joseph’s slavery looked like defeat, but it was the pathway to his throne. Even the cross looked like Jesus had lost—but it was the greatest victory ever.

So don’t be discouraged if things don’t go your way immediately. Ask God for wisdom to see beyond the surface. A “loss” today might be the training ground for tomorrow’s breakthrough, and a so-called “win” might be a distraction if it’s not aligned with God’s will.

Stay humble in victory. Stay hopeful in defeat. In both, let God define what success really means for you.
