My dear friend,
YOUR KEEPING QUIET IS NOT GOLDEN
I want to lovingly remind you that silence in the face of wrongdoing is not wisdom—it’s dangerous. You may think staying quiet protects your peace, avoids conflict, or keeps you safe. But the truth is, evil doesn’t succeed only because of those who do it—but because of those who watch and say nothing.
God has given you a voice, a conscience, and influence—not just for your benefit, but to stand for what’s right. If you see injustice, speak up. If you notice abuse, don’t look away. If truth is being distorted, don’t stay silent. Your silence could become someone else’s suffering.
James 4:17 says, “To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” That means even if you didn’t do the wrong, if you ignore it knowingly, you share in the guilt.
Don’t be afraid to be different. Don’t be afraid to take a stand, even if it costs you popularity or comfort. God honors those who defend righteousness, even when it’s unpopular. Your voice matters. Your courage matters.
Choose to be a light. The world needs more people who dare to do what’s right, not just those who avoid doing wrong.
With love and truth,
Pastor/Counselor,
