MAKE ME A DOER OF YOUR WORD
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” *(James 1:22)*

Hearing God’s Word is essential, but true transformation comes when we act on it. Many people listen to sermons, read the Bible, and even memorize scriptures, yet their lives remain unchanged because they do not apply what they have learned. The Word of God is not just for information; it is for transformation.
To be a doer of the Word means to put God’s instructions into practice—loving others, forgiving, living in righteousness, walking in faith, and being obedient to His commands. Jesus emphasized this in Matthew 7:24-27, comparing the wise builder who acted on His words to the foolish one who merely heard but did nothing.
We need grace to apply God’s teachings daily because human nature often resists obedience. Distractions, doubts, and worldly pressures can make it difficult to live according to God’s Will. However, when we pray for divine help, the Holy Spirit empowers us to obey.

My Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart that longs to know You more. As I pray, open my spirit to receive Your truth, and give me the grace to walk in obedience. Let Your Word shape my thoughts, actions, and decisions. Holy Spirit, empower me to be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
