Title: IMPACT AND SERVICE; LIVING BEYOND SELF

Text: Matthew 5:16
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Beloved, one of the greatest misunderstandings of our time is the belief that life revolves around personal success alone. But Jesus corrected this mindset when He said, “Let your light so shine before men…” He did not say shine before mirrors, but before men—because light finds its relevance only when it illuminates others.

God never releases light for storage; He releases it for illumination. Whatever God places in your life—grace, gifts, influence, resources, knowledge—is not for competition but for contribution. The Kingdom of God does not celebrate how much you gather, but how much you distribute for His glory.

Impact is the language heaven understands. Prosperity is validated when it translates into service. Success finds meaning when it lifts lives. That is why many people feel empty despite achievements—because achievement without impact produces frustration. When your life is disconnected from service, fulfilment will always be missing.

Jesus lived beyond self. Though He was rich, He became poor. Though He was Lord, He became a servant. He washed feet, healed the broken, fed the hungry, and laid down His life. He showed us that greatness in the Kingdom is not measured by position, but by usefulness.

In this Year of Great Rewards, God is not only asking what you want from Him—He is asking what He can do through you. Rewards flow where responsibility is embraced. Heaven backs those who live for divine purpose. When your light shines through good works, God Himself takes responsibility for your increase.

Do not wait until you have more before you serve. Service is what qualifies you for more. Do not despise small acts of kindness, silent labour, or unseen sacrifice. Every genuine act of service is a seed, and God is a faithful rewarder.

Beloved, rise above selfish living. Refuse to exist without significance. Let your life preach where your mouth cannot reach. Let your impact speak where your name is not known. Live in such a way that when men see your works, God—not you—gets the glory.

Shine your light. Serve your generation. Live beyond self.
That is the pathway to lasting relevance and undeniable rewards.
