Title: FAVOR BEFORE MEN: ACCEPTANCE AND RECOMMENDATION

Text: Proverbs 3:4

> “So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.”

Favour is not a luxury in life; it is a necessity. Many doors in life do not open because of strength, intelligence, or effort alone. They open because God causes a heart to lean in your direction. That is why Scripture does not promise success by labour alone, but by favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

One of the hardest battles people face is not lack of ability, but lack of acceptance. You can be gifted yet rejected, qualified yet ignored, diligent yet forgotten. But when favour comes, resistance collapses. Favour speaks when your voice is absent. It defends you where you cannot defend yourself. It positions you where you did not struggle to arrive.

Proverbs 3:4 reveals a powerful order: favour flows from alignment. The preceding verses speak of mercy, truth, obedience, and trust in the Lord. Favour before men is first sustained by favour with God. When your life pleases God, He touches the hearts of men on your behalf. That is why some people cannot explain why they like you, trust you, or recommend you—God has already spoken to their hearts.

In this Year of Great Rewards, understand this truth: visibility is not enough; acceptability is key. Being seen does not guarantee being chosen. Being known does not guarantee being recommended. It is favour that converts visibility into opportunity and presence into preference. Favour makes your name sound good in conversations you are not part of.

However, divine favour must be stewarded. Character sustains what favour introduces. Wisdom protects what favour opens. Humility preserves what favour promotes. When God grants you acceptance, walk worthy of it. When He causes men to recommend you, remain dependable. Favour is not an excuse for carelessness; it is a call to responsibility.

Finally, refuse to live at the mercy of rejection. Pray for favour. Walk in truth. Trust the Lord with all your heart. As you do, God will cause you to find favour and good understanding. You will not struggle for access; access will look for you. You will not beg for remembrance; your name will be recalled with honour.

I declare over you: in this season, you will be accepted, remembered, and recommended. Favour will go ahead of you and speak for you. This is your portion in the Year of Great Rewards, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
