Beloved, life is a journey, and destiny is a path that unfolds step by step. Every new season requires a new supply of strength. The Scripture assures us in Philippians 1:6 that the God who began a good work in us will not abandon it midway but will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. That means your destiny is not left to chance—it is sustained by God’s commitment and powered by His Spirit.
But here is the truth: the power that brought you here is not enough to take you there. Yesterday’s victories, yesterday’s prayers, and yesterday’s grace are not sufficient for the challenges of tomorrow. Just as fresh oil was needed to keep the lamps burning in the temple, so you need fresh power to keep your spiritual fire alive for the journey ahead.
The road to destiny is not always smooth. There are mountains to climb, valleys to cross, storms to endure, and battles to fight. Without fresh empowerment, discouragement can set in, faith can weaken, and vision can grow dim. That is why God continually calls us to wait upon Him for renewal. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
Fresh power gives you clarity when confusion rises. It grants you boldness when fear whispers defeat. It equips you to stand strong when others fall by the wayside. It is the fuel that ensures you don’t stop halfway, but press forward until the good work God has started is perfected.
Therefore, refuse to run on yesterday’s oil. Don’t depend on past strength for future assignments. Rise each day with a hunger for fresh empowerment. Cry out to God daily for a new touch, a new infilling, and a new dimension of grace. With fresh power, you will not faint, you will not fail, and you will not fall short. Instead, you will finish your course with joy and see the fullness of God’s promises manifest in your life.
Beloved, the journey ahead is great, but the God who called you is greater. He is not only the Alpha who begins; He is also the Omega who completes. Lift your eyes, strengthen your faith, and receive fresh power for the journey ahead.
