🔥Stay Humble and Broken Before God
Scripture Anchor:
“…To this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” — Isaiah 66:2b (KJV)
Beloved, in this sacred season of Divine Visitation, let us be reminded that God is not attracted to noise, titles, or status—but to hearts that are broken and humble before Him.
Heaven does not descend randomly. God’s glory doesn’t just appear to the loudest or the busiest—it rests upon the meek, the contrite, and those who tremble at His Word. In a world intoxicated with pride, self-promotion, and independence, the true posture that invites divine encounters is humility.
đź”” The Cry of the Lowly Reaches Heaven
David—a man after God’s own heart—fell terribly, yet his story didn’t end in disgrace. Why? Because he refused to cover up his failure with pride. He tore his garments, fasted, and cried out, “Create in me a clean heart, O God” (Psalm 51:10). His brokenness made room for God’s mercy, and his humility prepared the way for God’s continued presence in his life.
Many today want God’s power, but not His presence. They crave open doors without open hearts. But God still says:
“To this one will I look…” – Not the talented, not the eloquent, not the proud—but the humble and broken-hearted.
🌊 Why Humility Attracts Visitation
Humility empties us of self, so that we can be filled with God. It silences pride, that ancient sin that expelled Lucifer from heaven. Pride is subtle. It tells you:
- “You’re fine without prayer.”
- “You don’t need counsel.”
- “Your way is better.”
But humility bows low and says:
- “Lord, I need You.”
- “Correct me.”
- “Search me.”
- “Break me, and remake me.”
It is in such surrender that the Lord finds a resting place.
🕯️ Becoming God’s Dwelling Place
Dear friend, divine visitation is not a goosebump—it is when God comes to stay. He doesn’t stay in temples built by prideful hands. He stays in the lives of those who say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”
When you are broken before God, you become whole in His presence. When you are humble before the King, He exalts you in due season.
🙏 Exhortation Challenge
As we seek divine visitation, let us not only expect God to come—but let us also prepare Him a place in our hearts.
- Repent where needed.
- Forgive who must be forgiven.
- Tear down every altar of pride.
- Say again: “Lord, break me, and use me.”
Let this be your prayer cry:
“Father, visit me—not on my terms, but on Yours. I humble myself before You. Let me not miss Your visitation!”
✨ Final Words
The cloud of glory is near. The fragrance of visitation is in the air. But only the contrite will discern it. Only the humble will receive it. And only the broken will host it.
Let this be the month where God looks upon you and finds you ready.
