Dear Friend,
BEWARE: DON’T LET DOWN YOUR GUARD
I want to lovingly remind you today: “Calm water doesn’t mean there are no crocodiles.” Just because everything seems quiet, easy, or smooth around you doesn’t mean you should let your guard down.
There are times in life when everything feels peaceful—but peace without discernment can be dangerous. Not every smiling face is trustworthy. Not every open door is divine. Some threats are silent. Some traps are well-hidden. That’s why the Bible says, “Be sober, be vigilant…” (1 Peter 5:8).
I encourage you to stay prayerful and spiritually alert. Don’t be too quick to trust just what you see on the surface. Ask God for discernment before making major decisions—about relationships, business, ministry, or even moments of rest.
Enjoy the calm, but don’t ignore the need for wisdom. Let the Holy Spirit guide you through both the still waters and the stormy seas. Remember, even in the calm, God is your protector—but He also calls you to watch and pray.
Stay alert. Stay wise. Stay covered.
You are deeply loved and destined for greatness.
With love and wisdom,
Pastor/Counselor
