LET MY LIFE BE A LIGHT TO OTHERS
(Matthew 5:16)
To go higher with Jesus Christ is to live intentionally as a reflection of His glory. Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” This powerful statement is both a call and a commission. We are not merely saved to sit—we are saved to shine.
In a world clouded by darkness, confusion, and compromise, God has positioned His children as beacons of truth, hope, and righteousness. Our lives are meant to preach even louder than our voices. Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, every decision rooted in integrity becomes a beam of light pointing others to Christ.
To be a light is not to be perfect, but to be purposeful. It is to live in such a way that your daily conduct becomes a witness to God’s transforming power. When people encounter us, they should encounter the presence of God—His peace, joy, wisdom, and love. This is how we glorify the Father.
As we go higher this month with Jesus, we must go deeper in purity, bolder in impact, and stronger in purpose. The higher we rise, the farther our light must reach. Let your light shine in your family, your workplace, your ministry, and your community. Be a vessel of light, and God will use your life to draw many unto Him.
Prayer: Lord, let my life shine with Your glory. Use me as a vessel of hope, a witness of truth, and a reflector of Your love. May all who see me glorify You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
