Surround yourself with people of integrity—those who speak well of you behind your back, defend you when necessary, and uphold the truth regardless of circumstances. At the same time, strive to be that kind of person for others. True character isn’t about how we act when people are watching but how we remain steadfast in honesty and loyalty when they aren’t.
