MARRIAGE HAS NO ETERNAL VALUE !

(No one should die for it)

The statement “Marriage has no eternal value” suggests that marriage, as an earthly institution, does not carry over into eternity. Here’s how this can be understood:

1. Biblical Perspective: Marriage Ends in This Life

Jesus explicitly taught that marriage does not exist in the afterlife. In Matthew 22:30, He said:
“At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.”
This means that while marriage is important on earth for companionship, procreation, and fulfilling God’s purpose, it does not continue in eternity.

2. Eternal Value Comes from Spiritual Commitment, Not Marriage

While marriage can help partners grow spiritually, it is not a requirement for salvation or eternal life. What truly matters in eternity is a person’s relationship with God, not their marital status (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10).

3. Marriage Serves a Temporary Earthly Purpose

Marriage is designed for companionship (Genesis 2:18), family building (Genesis 1:28), and reflecting Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:25-32). However, in eternity, our relationship with God surpasses all earthly institutions, including marriage.

4. What Has Eternal Value?

Instead of marriage itself, the love, faith, and righteousness developed through marriage may have eternal significance. The way spouses honor God and love each other can store up treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19-20).

Conclusion

Marriage is a sacred and meaningful union on earth, but it does not extend into eternity. What truly has eternal value is our personal relationship with God and how we live in obedience to Him.
